Chiesa dello Spirito Santo

Chiesa dello Spirito Santo began in the 6th century as Ravenna's Arian cathedral. Much of what visitors see now is later, including a Baroque facade, but the church still matters as part of the city's early Christian and Ostrogothic history.

It is a secondary stop compared with San Vitale, the Arian Baptistry and the other UNESCO monuments, but its location near the historic centre makes it easy to add while tracing Ravenna's late antique churches.
