The beach that runs between Lake Sabaudia and the sea is one of the most beautiful in Lazio: about 15 km of fine grey-blond sand backed by tall dunes and umbrella pines, with almost no buildings. Stretches in the middle, away from the access roads at either end, can feel surprisingly empty even at the height of August.
There are a handful of stabilimenti at the northern end (near the town) and at the southern end (toward Torre Paola), but the rest is free beach. The water shelves gradually, the breakers are usually small, and the sunsets over the headland of Mount Circeo are excellent.
