Tivoli's restaurants tend to either cater to the day-tripper crowd (around Villa d'Este, mediocre and overpriced) or to the locals (in the old town's back streets, often excellent and a fraction of the cost). Look for the regional Lazio specialities — fettuccine with mushrooms from the hills, suckling porchetta, the local Cesanese wine.
