Il Pirun is a wine shop and bar on Via Fieschi named after the Ligurian dialect word for a wine jug. It specialises in Cinque Terre wines and Sciacchetrà, and sells both by the glass and bottle. The interior is genuinely old — wooden shelves, low ceilings, bottles stacked to the walls — and the owners know their product. This is the place to learn about what makes Sciacchetrà different from ordinary sweet wines.
Sit outside if there's space, and ask for a tasting flight if you want to compare the regular Cinque Terre Bianco with the more concentrated Sciacchetrà. The bar closes in the early afternoon and reopens in the evening.
