Corniglia is not a nightlife village. By 10pm most of the trattorias have shut and Via Fieschi is quiet. What it does well is the early evening — a glass of Cinque Terre white on the Belvedere or in Largo Taragio, watching the light go out of the cliffs.
The local dessert wine Sciacchetrà is the thing to try at least once: amber-coloured, raisin-sweet, and made from grapes dried on wooden racks for two months before pressing. A small glass after dinner is the traditional Cinque Terre nightcap.
