Garlenda is a small village and the eating options reflect that: a couple of trattorie serving straightforward Ligurian food, and the restaurant at the Castello della Meridiana hotel for something more formal. The real highlight is the wine. Pigato — a local white grape — produces some of the best white wine in Liguria, and Rossese makes a light, fragrant red; both are poured freely and cheaply here.
