The nearest train station is Albenga, on the main Genova–Ventimiglia coastal line. Garlenda is about 8km from Albenga — a short taxi or car journey. There is no direct bus connection and public transport to the village is effectively non-existent, so a car is essential for staying here comfortably.
By car from the coast, Garlenda is signposted from the A10 motorway (exit Albenga) and is a straightforward 15-minute drive up the Lerrone valley.
The nearest airports are Genova Cristoforo Colombo (GOA), roughly 90km to the east, and Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE) across the French border, about 130km to the west. Either works; Nice often has better international connections and the coastal drive from Nice is pleasant.
