By train. The only sensible way in. Manarola sits on the Cinque Terre regional line, with shuttle trains every 10–20 minutes from La Spezia (12 min, €5 single in summer 2026) and Levanto (15 min). From La Spezia Centrale you can connect to Pisa, Florence, Genoa and Milan. The Manarola station is short — the platform doesn't fit the whole train, so listen for announcements and walk to the correct carriage before your stop.
By Cinque Terre Card. If you plan three or more train rides plus a trail walk, the Cinque Terre Card covers unlimited trains and most paths for a flat daily fee. Buy it at any of the village stations.
By car. Don't. The village has effectively no parking, the access road is closed to non-residents and the only car park is a long stairway above town. Leave the car in La Spezia.
By boat. Seasonal ferries run from La Spezia, Portovenere and Monterosso in summer — a slower, scenic alternative.
