Pietra Ligure is on the main coastal railway line between Genoa and the French border. Trains from Genoa take around an hour; from Savona, about 20 minutes. The station is a short walk from both the beach and the old centre. By road, the A10 motorway has an exit at Pietra Ligure. Driving from Genoa takes about an hour depending on traffic.
