Monza is 15 kilometres north of Milan and very easily reached by train from Milano Centrale, Milano Porta Garibaldi, or Milano Lambrate — trains run several times per hour and the journey takes 10–15 minutes. The Monza railway station is about 10 minutes walk from the cathedral. By metro, the M1 (red line) stops at Sesto 1° Maggio FS, from where regional trains continue to Monza. By car, the A4 motorway passes near Monza with several exits.
