Being a tourist town, Sirmione has no shortage of restaurants — and some are genuinely good. The old town has a concentration of places along the main street and around the small squares; better value is usually found a few blocks off the main drag or in Colombare, the newer part of town on the mainland. Lake fish — especially lake perch (persico) and whitefish (lavarello) — are the local speciality and worth seeking out.
