Torre Rossa

Torre Rossa is one of Asti’s oldest surviving towers, traditionally linked to the Roman gate system and later absorbed into the medieval city. Its brick shaft is plain, but that plainness is part of the appeal: Asti’s history often appears as reused stone and layered walls rather than polished monuments.

Find it near the cathedral quarter and treat it as a small historical marker rather than a destination in itself. It helps tie Roman Asti, medieval Asti, and the modern street plan together.
