Chiesa di San Michele is a historic church in Calatafimi, founded by the Congregation of Saint Michael in the 14th century and later enlarged by the Third Franciscan Order. The interior has a nave with two aisles and keeps stuccoes, paintings, and wooden statues.
It is a worthwhile town stop if you are already visiting Calatafimi for Segesta or Pianto Romano. The church adds a compact religious and artistic layer to a place better known for archaeology and Risorgimento history.
