Motta Sant'Anastasia is about 15 kilometres west of Catania. By car, take the SS121 or the A19 autostrada westward from Catania; the town is signposted. By train, Motta Sant'Anastasia has a railway station on the Catania–Palermo line, with regular services from Catania (about 20 minutes). Local buses also connect the town with Catania. The most convenient approach for independent travellers without a car is the train.
