Greve is 30 km south of Florence on the SR222, the Chiantigiana, which is the main road through the Chianti hills. The drive from Florence takes about 45 minutes. There is a bus service (SITA) from Florence's bus station to Greve that runs several times a day, taking about an hour.
There is no train station in Greve. Visitors arriving by train to Florence should take the bus or hire a car — the Chianti zone really requires a car to explore properly, as the estates and villages are spread across the hills and connected only by narrow roads.
Siena is 35 km to the south. From Siena, take the SR222 north through Castellina in Chianti and Panzano.
