Getting There

Livorno is well connected by train. From Florence, direct trains take about 1.5 hours; from Pisa, the journey is just 20 minutes. Livorno Centrale station is in the centre of the city. The nearest airport is Pisa International (Galileo Galilei), around 20 km away by road or train.

The port is one of Italy's busiest: ferries run from the Livorno ferry terminal to Sardinia (Olbia, Cagliari), Corsica (Bastia), Sicily (Palermo), and the island of Elba (Portoferraio). Ferry operators include Grimaldi Lines, Corsica Ferries, and Moby Lines. The Elba ferry crossing takes around an hour.
