Palazzuolo is genuinely remote — that is much of the charm. From Florence, take the SS65 north to Borgo San Lorenzo (about an hour), then a winding mountain road through Marradi and over the pass to the Senio valley. The drive from central Florence is around two hours.
From the Romagna side, the approach is shorter: Faenza is about 45 minutes away on the SS306. Public transport is sparse; buses link the village with Marradi and Borgo San Lorenzo, but services are infrequent. A car is by far the easiest option.
