Museo delle Sinopie displays the preparatory drawings discovered beneath frescoes from Pisa's Camposanto after wartime damage forced restorers to detach the painted surfaces. These red underdrawings show the planning behind some of the Campo dei Miracoli's most important medieval mural cycles.
