Sienese gelato can be hit-or-miss, with too many places aimed at quick tourist sales. Gelateria Brivido, just off the Campo, is one of the consistent local favourites — small batches, natural ingredients, strong fruit flavours and a particularly good ricotta and fig.
Open late in summer; expect a queue but it moves fast.
