Siena is not a major shopping city in the way Florence is — there are no concentrated designer streets — but Via di Città and Banchi di Sopra carry a mixture of upmarket clothing, jewellery, and the occasional historic shop. The best buys are food (panforte, ricciarelli, cantucci, pecorino, Tuscan oils), wine, and ceramics with the city's wolf-and-twins emblem or contrada symbols.
