La Taverna di San Giuseppe

Vaulted cellar restaurant with truffle and local game

Tucked into the stone undercroft of a medieval house near San Giuseppe church, this restaurant takes its Tuscan classics seriously: truffle pastas in season, slow-cooked wild boar, Chianina steak. The wine cellar is enormous and skewed to small Tuscan producers.

A notch more expensive than the neighbourhood trattorias but a sound mid-range choice for a serious dinner.
