Cima Belprà

Cima Belprà, at 2,793 metres, is one of the secondary summits of the Antelao group that rise directly above Borca to the east. It is less famous than the main peak but offers a long and serious ridge walk for experienced hikers, with views that extend across the entire eastern Dolomites.

The approach is from the Forcella Piccola refuge above San Vito di Cadore and involves several hours of exposed scrambling on dolomite slabs. It is not a route for beginners — there are no fixed cables and the rock can be loose — but those who know what they are doing rate it as one of the finer ridge days in the area. Best done in July or August when the snow has cleared.
