The ski area at San Vito di Cadore connects into the broader Cortina ski domain, giving access to 50 lifts and 160 kilometres of marked pistes in the Dolomiti Superski network. San Vito's own lifts start almost from the village, with pistes descending through the pine forest back to town — convenient for families and those who want to ski directly from their accommodation. A ski bus runs between San Vito and Cortina for access to the fuller Cortina circuit.
The pistes here suit intermediate skiers best: the terrain is rarely extreme, with good cruising runs through forest clearings, but nearby Cortina adds access to the steeper Tofane and Cristallo sectors for those wanting more challenge. Off-piste possibilities on the Antelao and Sorapiss flanks exist but require alpine competence and local knowledge. Cross-country skiers have around 130 kilometres of Nordic tracks in the broader Cortina zone, with flatter routes along the valley floor suitable for beginners.
