San Vito di Cadore is most easily reached by car. The nearest large city is Belluno, about 50 km south via the SS51 road through the Boite valley — a scenic route that passes through the broader Cadore region. From Venice or Venice Marco Polo Airport the drive takes around two hours. Cortina d'Ampezzo is 10 km to the north.
By public transport, the SAD bus service connects San Vito to Cortina and to Dobbiaco (Toblach) in the north, and to Belluno in the south where rail connections to Venice and beyond are available. The journey from Belluno bus station to San Vito takes roughly an hour. Taxis from Belluno or Cortina are an option for heavy luggage or late arrivals.
