Massimiliana Tower

Massimiliana Tower is a circular 19th-century fortification on the southern tip of Sant'Erasmo. Built in the 1840s on the site of earlier defenses, it is surrounded by a moat and low earthworks.

The tower adds a historic stop to a quiet Sant'Erasmo visit, away from Venice's central crowds and close to the lagoon edge.
