Marcinkonys Visitor Centre

Main park entrance point with trail maps, exhibits, and canoe rental

Marcinkonys is the main practical entry point for Dzūkija National Park and has a visitor centre with trail maps, an exhibit on the park's ecology and ethnography, and canoe rental for the Ūla route. The village itself is a quiet Dzūkijan settlement with a traditional wooden church and a few guesthouses.

From Marcinkonys you can pick up marked hiking trails leading into the surrounding forest, or arrange guided excursions to specific villages and natural features. The staff at the visitor centre speak some English and are a useful resource for planning routes. The village is reachable from Druskininkai by local road, about 25 km south.
