Žemaičių Kalvarija is in northwestern Lithuania, northeast of Plungė and inland from the Palanga-Klaipėda coast. A car is the easiest way to visit, especially if you are combining it with Plateliai, Samogitia National Park, or the Cold War Museum.
Bus service exists from regional towns, but schedules are thin enough that you should check before building a day around it. During the July pilgrimage festival there may be organised church or group transport from larger Lithuanian cities.
