The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart is Bitola's Roman Catholic co-cathedral and one of the historic buildings along Širok Sokak. The parish dates to the 19th century, while the present neo-Gothic church was built in 1909.
Its pointed windows and compact facade add another layer to Bitola's mixed Ottoman, Balkan, and European streetscape. It is best treated as a short stop while walking the pedestrian centre.
