Church of the Annunciation

The Church of the Annunciation, known locally as the Old Church, is one of Prilep's better examples of 19th-century revival architecture. Built in 1838, it is a three-nave basilica with galleries and a richly carved wooden iconostasis.

The courtyard also holds the remains of revolutionary Pere Tošev, an important figure in the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization. The church sits just south of the city centre, close enough to combine with the old bazaar and other central sights.
