Prilep's Old Bazaar is smaller and less restored than the bazaars in Skopje or Bitola, but it gives the town centre its best texture. Low shops, mosque domes, workshops, and cafe tables sit close together, with the fortress ridge visible whenever the street opens up.
Come without a checklist. The bazaar is best as a slow wander before or after the climb to Marko's Towers, and it helps explain Prilep as a trading town rather than just a name on the road across Pelagonia.
