Dragonara Point is the narrow rocky promontory at the northern end of St Julian's, occupied by the Westin Dragonara Hotel and the Dragonara Casino. The casino is set in a 19th-century palazzo and is one of the two licensed casinos in Malta; it draws both serious players and curious visitors, with table games and slots available most of the evening.
The point itself — before the hotel and casino occupied it — was a summer residence of the Schembri family, and the palazzo has a faded elegance that persists despite the casino fitout. The terrace and the immediate sea views are among the best in St Julian's. Access to the casino is free; smart casual dress is expected.
