The waterfront at Perast has several restaurants with tables right on the water, facing the two islands. The view is the obvious draw, and the best of them also serve good food: fresh Adriatic fish, octopus salad, black risotto, and grilled seafood. Lamb and veal dishes cooked under a peka (the traditional Montenegrin covered pot buried in embers) appear on most menus.
Prices are a step up from Kotor — you're paying for the view — but reasonable by Adriatic resort standards. The restaurants fill in July and August; come at lunchtime on a weekday to get a table without waiting. In low season, only one or two may be open: check before making the trip solely for dinner.
