Castle Gardens Arcen is the village's main draw. The estate spreads around the castle with formal gardens, ponds, themed plantings, and enough variety to make it a proper half-day rather than a quick photo stop.
It is at its best in the growing season, when the gardens have colour and depth. In poor weather or deep winter, Arcen loses much of its strongest reason to be on your route.
