Central Drammen is compact and very walkable. The main sights — the riverfront, Bragernes Church, Bragernes Torg, the Ypsilon Bridge, and Papirbredden — are all within fifteen minutes of each other on foot. The Drammen Spiral is reached by car or bicycle; there is no public transport to the tunnel entrance, but a cycling path runs part of the way up.
Local buses connect the city centre to the outer neighbourhoods. Tickets can be bought via the Ruter app (Oslo's public transit authority covers Buskerud) or from drivers. Taxis are available but expensive. Cycling is practical on the flat riverfront sections; the city has some bike-rental options. The railway station sits on the Bragernes bank and is the natural starting point for arrivals by train.
