Førde has its own small airport, Førde Airport Bringeland, with regular flights from Bergen operated by Widerøe. The flight takes about 35 minutes. Alternatively, Bergen is connected to Førde by express bus — the journey takes around three hours via the Sunnfjord route.
By car from Bergen, the E39 runs north up the coast and connects to Førde via the Lavik ferry crossing and onwards through the fjord country. The drive takes about two and a half to three hours depending on ferry timing.
