Porsgrunn's sights are modest but genuine. The porcelain factory, the Telemark Canal, and the town's industrial heritage make up the core of what there is to see. For day trips, Skien (birthplace of Henrik Ibsen) and the Telemark Canal locks at Vrangfoss are both within easy reach.
