Bordalsgjelet is a narrow gorge close enough to Voss that you can reach it on foot from town. The path leads to viewpoints above and beside the cut rock, where the river has carved a tight channel through dark stone.
It is a small outing by Norwegian standards, but a very satisfying one: easy access, real drama, and no need to commit to a full mountain day. Wear sensible shoes if the path is wet, and leave time to linger at the viewpoints rather than treating it as a box to tick.
