Voss sits on the Bergen Line, the railway between Oslo and Bergen. Trains from Bergen take about 75 minutes and run roughly hourly; from Oslo it is six to seven hours and an overnight sleeper is an option. The station is in the centre of town, a hundred metres from the gondola.
By road, the E16 runs from Bergen east through Voss and on toward the Sognefjord. Driving from Bergen takes about an hour and forty minutes. The nearest airport with international connections is Bergen Flesland, two hours by road or train. There is no airport at Voss itself for scheduled flights — the small Bømoen airfield is general aviation only and the centre of the skydiving scene.
