Vossevangen is small enough to walk in fifteen minutes from end to end. The train station, the gondola, the church, and most hotels and restaurants are within a five-minute radius of the central square.
For trips up the valley, to Myrkdalen, or to launch points for rafting and skiing, the local Skyss buses cover the main routes but run on a school-day schedule outside summer. A rental car makes life considerably easier if you plan to explore the side valleys or do anything beyond the gondola. Bike rental is available in summer and the lakeside cycle path is gentle and well-marked.
