Getting There

Łódź has its own airport (LCJ — Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport), a small operation with connections to a handful of European cities, mostly through Ryanair and Wizz Air. For more destinations, Warsaw Chopin Airport is about 130 kilometres away and about 90 minutes by train.

Łódź Fabryczna railway station is the city's main rail hub, opened in 2016 and one of the most modern stations in Poland. Trains run frequently to Warsaw (about 80 minutes on the express), and there are connections to other major Polish cities. The station is centrally located, making it the most convenient way to arrive.

The A1 motorway connects Łódź to the north (Gdańsk) and south (Katowice, Czech border), and the A2 runs east-west through the city connecting Warsaw with Berlin. Driving is quick but city parking can be challenging.
