The city centre is compact enough to walk between most attractions. Trams cover the wider city efficiently and run frequently from early morning until late at night. A single ticket covers tram and bus, and can be bought from machines at stops or via the city's transport app.
Bikes are widely available through the Poznan city bike share scheme (ROWER METROPOLITALNY), with docking stations throughout the centre and along the river. The flat terrain makes cycling easy.
Taxis and rideshares are plentiful and reasonably priced by Western European standards. The ride between the Old Market Square and Ostrów Tumski takes about five minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot through the old streets.
