Sopot's eating scene is heavily seasonal — the best restaurants open their terraces in May and close them in September, and a few operate only in summer. Polish seafood is the dominant theme: Baltic herring, smoked sprats, and cod appear on most menus, sometimes alongside more international options. The smoked fish stalls on the beach are the most casual option, and also among the best.
Monte Cassino Street is lined with options from pierogi bars to cocktail restaurants; quality varies and the most tourist-facing places aren't always the best. Wander a block or two back from the main strip for better value and more local character.
