Sopot is small enough to cover entirely on foot — from the train station to the end of the pier is about 15 minutes walking, and the main beach extends a short distance in either direction from there. There is no need for transport within Sopot itself.
For the wider Trójmiasto, the SKM commuter rail is the backbone. Trains run frequently between Gdynia, Sopot, and Gdańsk and are the fastest and cheapest way to move between the three cities. The ZTM Gdańsk transport card works across all three cities.
Cycling is possible along the seafront promenade — there are bike paths along much of the beach — and into the Tricity Landscape Park. Bike rentals are available in season.
