Sosnowiec is well served by trams and buses, which integrate with the wider Silesian metropolitan transport network. The same ticket works across Sosnowiec, Katowice, Będzin, and surrounding towns. Most of the city's sights are reachable on foot or by tram from the central area.
Taxis are inexpensive by Western European standards. The centre — including both the castle and the museum — is compact enough to cover comfortably on foot.
