Sagres is at the end of the road, literally — you drive southwest from Lagos (about 30 km) along the N268, and the road ends at the fortress car park. EVA Transportes runs a few bus services from Lagos daily; the journey takes around 50 minutes and isn't frequent enough to rely on for day trips. Renting a car in Lagos or Portimão is the sensible option if you want to explore the cape properly. There is no train.
