Teatro Circo is Braga's grand early-20th-century theatre, built when the city wanted a venue large enough for plays, music, film, and touring performances. The building remains one of the most visible cultural landmarks in the centre.
It is worth checking the programme if you are staying overnight in Braga. Even without a performance, the exterior adds a formal Belle Epoque note to the streets around Avenida da Liberdade.
