Caminha is small — the kind of town you can walk across in fifteen minutes — but it has a handsome old centre, a working ferry to Spain, and an unusually fine fifteenth-century church. Most visitors spend half a day wandering the square, climbing the medieval clock tower, and crossing the Minho for an afternoon in Galicia.
