The Someșul Mic — the Little Someș — runs east-west through Cluj, and the recently rebuilt promenades on both banks have become the city's favourite walking, jogging, and cycling route. The path runs from the western edge of the centre past the Central Park, the Opera, and into the eastern districts.
Several bridges cross the river in the centre, each with its own character; the wooden pedestrian bridge near the Central Park is a particular favourite. Cycling is the easiest way to take in the whole length; rental is available at several points downtown.
