By train
Sighisoara is on the main Brasov–Cluj-Napoca rail line, making it easy to reach from either city. Journey time from Brasov is around two hours; from Cluj about the same. Several trains run daily in both directions. The railway station is a short walk from the old town.
By bus
Minibuses (maxitaxis) connect Sighisoara to Brasov, Sibiu, and Cluj, often faster than the train. They depart from the bus station adjacent to the railway station.
By car
Sighisoara sits on the E60 highway between Brasov and Cluj. Parking is available outside the citadel walls. The old town is compact; you will not need a car once you are there.
