The Central Front Command Post Museum preserves the site where the Soviet Central Front headquarters operated during the 1943 Battle of Kursk. Exhibits include a reconstruction of commander Konstantin Rokossovsky's field shelter, memorial sculpture, and material on the battle.
It is outside Kursk, but it fits naturally with the region's military-history sites and is most useful for travellers already following the Battle of Kursk story.
